Job Summary

Primary objective of this role is managing and facilitating international trade transactions and operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with customs regulations, export and import laws, and understanding the economic, political, and geographical implications of international trade.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Identifying and resolving any issues or disputes that arise in international trade operations. Attend a team meeting to discuss current projects, upcoming deadlines, and any issues that need immediate attention.

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for imports or exports. This involves analyzing economic data, political climates, and market trends in various countries.
  • Ensure all current transactions comply with international trade laws and regulations. This might involve reviewing documentation and coordinating with legal teams.
  • Engage in negotiations with international partners. Discussing terms of trade, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Work with logistics providers to ensure the smooth transportation of goods. Coordinating with shipping companies, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
  • Prepare and review necessary documentation for international shipments, such as customs declarations and commercial invoices.
  • Address any issues that arise, such as delays in shipment or disputes with customs officials. Sorun-solving skills and effective communication.
  • Provide training or guidance to staff or other departments on international trade practices and procedures.
  • Compile reports on trade activities, market analysis, and compliance status to present to senior management.

Skills and Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or International Trade (preferred)

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in similar position
  • Team player, multi-task, able to help other functions and makes things completed on time.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • English written and verbal. Spanish will be a plus.
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability and focus on customer satisfaction.
