As the ITQ Associate Research & Development Coordinator, you will have the unique opportunity to impact the R&D function by leveraging your knowledge, skills and expertise to advance global and local pipelines.

The projects you manage in this role will provide you with a high level of cross-functional exposure and will accelerate your ability to navigate and influence across our organization.

This position reports directly to R&D Sr Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and apply creative technical solutions for nuts category.
  • Build and advance consumer-first Innovation, saving projects, and renovation pipelines through partnership with the broader R&D team, key cross-functional partners, and leverage of external partners.
  • Lead a R&D Nuts team team of 2 direct reports. Provide leadership to further develop team including focus on advancing capabilities and business impact; talent development and building community; and increasing organizational agility; guide team to executional excellence through deep understanding of General Mills business and commercialization processes.
  • Partner with key cross functional partners to build and align on business strategies & direction; and create remarkable solutions to deliver against these strategies.
  • Lead process transformation for coated peanuts within partnership with cross functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Food or Chemical
  • Product development experience
  • Coated peanuts products development experience
  • Must have strong organizational, resilient, creative and time management skills
  • Position will require travel (30%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. degree in Engineering, food or chemical
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, strategic planning, and engaging leader skills
  • Demonstrated business savvy, acumen and ability to influence the business and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative with the ability to work collaboratively to drive results
  • Strong communication skills and global mindset
  • Desire to challenge assumptions and identify new opportunities
  • Demonstrated resilience to deal with process challenges
