As the System Administrator Manager at EdgeUno, you will play a crucial role in driving our company’s rapid growth and success. We are seeking a candidate who thrives in troubleshooting scenarios and possesses excellent customer service skills. Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation, deployment, and integration of solutions, ensuring successful delivery, high quality, and sustainability of solutions.
- Manage all aspects of solutions deployment and technical operations.
- Lead the DevOps team, assigning and monitoring workflow and ensuring quality and efficiency is maintained.
- Plan, build, configure, test, and deploy technology solutions.
- Promote DevOps strategies and implementation goals.
- Test and maintain systems.
- Set up business contracts with vendors or customers.
- Participate in automation testing and implementation.
- Analyze and approve new code.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and manage a wide range of products and services for the company.
- Lead the automation of day-to-day operations to support our 1000+ customers effectively.
- Design and deploy complex systems and network solutions to ensure 24×7 availability.
- Automate data backups and recovery operations within virtual environments.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and conduct root cause analysis for complex system problems in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Automate Hypervisor deployments to streamline operational processes.
- Build, maintain, and provide support for Synology storage systems.
- Manage and upgrade operating systems across multiple platforms, including Windows, OSX, Linux, BSD, etc.
- Oversee VMWare, Proxmox, and OpenStack virtualization environments.
- Conduct research and development of new technologies and develop Proof of Concept demos.
- Create, maintain, and update all documentation, including procedures and training materials.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor, administer, and maintain the company’s platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering from a four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of managing teams and projects effectively.
- Experience supporting 24×7, high availability application environments, servers, load balancing systems, and clustered shared storage solutions.
- Proficiency with System and Network Automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience with Python or a similar programming language.
- knowledge about DevOps environment.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision and willingness to work extended hours if required.
- Possess a high degree of creativity and latitude in problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Previous experience in the telecom, hosting, data center, or internet service provider industry is a plus.
- Desirable experience with OpenStack, RPKI, DNSSEC, and IPv6.
